• Dinnerware, e.g. paper or plastic plates, utensils, cups, bowls, napkins, toilet paper, foil, trash bags, plastic wrap, food bags, paper/plastic table covers, paper towels, large rolls of wide craft paper, etc.
• Dishwasher
• Food, e.g. chips, crackers, snack foods, pasta, rice, dessert items, drinks, drink mixes, cake mixes, canned frosting, ketchup, mustard, mayo/miracle whip, canned fruit, canned meat, canned vegetables, canned soup/stew/chili, canned tomato products, canned beans, etc.
• Furnishings for building, e.g. matching or coordinating couches or similar seating, stacking or folding chairs, tables, bookcases/shelves, blinds for windows, decorating, etc.
• Indoor sports equipment or games
• Kitchen and meal service supplies, e.g. large cook pots, large bowls, heavy-duty utensils, cooling racks, large food containers, knife set, magnetic knife hanger, etc
• Office furniture and equipment, e.g. desks, chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, shelves, dividers, tables, 4-line phone system, computers, copier, fax, etc.
• Office supplies, e.g. copy/printer paper (8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17, white or color), notepads, scotch tape refills, pens, paperclips, masking tape, packing tape, postage stamps, etc.
• Outdoor furniture and recreation equipment, e.g. picnic tables, patio furniture, play equipment, BBQ, benches, portable fireplace, camping supplies, tents, sleeping bags, stoves, lanterns, chairs, etc.

Services We Need

• Assist with scheduled activities and programs. (Specific schedules are published in our monthly newsletter.) Volunteers help by assisting and socializing with program participants. Volunteers may also assist staff members by serving food, setting up, cleaning up and/or supervising portions of the activity.
• Create art for decorating our building, e.g. paintings, sculpture, etc.
• Decorate our building for a holiday or special event
• Help with exterior landscaping or outdoor planting and upkeep
• Help with fund raising -- We need qualified volunteers who can help us writing grants, contacting donors, and coordinating special events.
• Organize a group fund-raiser: bike-a-thon, run, bowling, rodeo, intercollegiate competition, concert, dance, etc.
• Produce a video about our program
• Professional and/or trade services -- computer support, electrical, plumbing, lawn services, snow removal, carpentry, carpet cleaning, detail cleaning for vans, etc.
• Provide a health screening clinic, e.g. vision, hearing, etc.
• Set up an accounting/bookkeeping program
• Sponsor an activity or program
• Take photographs of programs and participants, create a photo essay
• Teach a skill or provide class instruction to program participants (subject to scheduling restrictions). If you have a skill you would like to share we may be able to use your help. Class ideas: food preparation, music, sign language, art, sewing, foreign languages, gardening, first aid, reading, health, money skills, writing, fitness, outdoor skills, anger management, community awareness, recreation, crafts, dancing, sports, personal care, etc.
• Teach computer skills
• Update or redo our program brochure
• Volunteer at a scheduled activities and programs
• Write a human interest article for the newspaper
• Write grants
• Write letter of request for donation of goods to be sent to local businesses

Projects We Need Completed

• Build carport or covering for vans
• Collect aluminum for our recycling program
• Collect Christmas gifts that can be given out to program participants
• Create a display board for our program
• Install a cement pad (and pavilion if possible) for picnic tables in our park
• Install lighting for our flag and flagpole
• Install lighting for our main entrance and walkway
• Install rain gutters for building and storage shed
• Organize a group to help out with a service project -- Ideas: yard work, landscaping, painting, building clean up, building decoration, woodworking, building repair and maintenance, etc.
• Organize a scavenger hunt or collection for needed program supplies.
• Organize an awareness fair
• Organize/sponsor a special event -- Ideas: yard sale, car wash, concert, walk-a-thon, fair, etc.
• Paint exterior of main building
